Dr. Ann Mussett, B.Sc., D.C Chiropractor and Clinic Director of Summerhill Health Centre - opened in 1989 Ann has been practicing for 30 years as a chiropractor and has brought together a group of practitioners who are not only experts in their fields but who also collaborate with one another to offer the best possible care. This group has practiced together for over twenty years. Their objective beyond diagnosis and treatment is to provide a warm, caring and nurturing environment.
Ann approaches the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries with gentle adjustments, mobilizations, soft tissue release techniques, and flexibility and strength training.
Her primary focus is to relieve pain and discomfort, and to restore function, mobility, strength and flexibility. Her goal is to help her patients to return to the activities of normal living, and to avoid strain and injury by providing advice on posture, gait, lifting, carrying, sleeping, sitting and repetitive activities, and by giving strength and flexibility exercises.
Ann taught for many years at the Canadian memorial chiropractic college and at Kikkawa college.
Ann is originally from Nova Scotia, where she is drawn back to every summer. She is an avid runner and gardener, an animal lover and community volunteer. She is married and has four daughters, a dog, and a cat.

Dr. Nicole Ballantyne, B.Sc., D.C. Chiropractor and Medical Acupuncture
From Toronto, Dr. Nicole Ballantyne began her undergraduate education by pursuing an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo. She then graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC), where she received her Doctor of Chiropractic, Magna Cum Laude. While studying at CMCC, she attended McMaster University, obtaining her certificate in Medical Acupuncture.
Dr. Ballantyne employs several treatment therapies designed to help individuals and athletes of all ages achieve their peak performance and health, including acupuncture, soft tissue therapy and rehabilitation. She is committed to helping her patients live and move pain-free at full function.
Dr. Ballantyne has over 15 years of experience at high levels of sport including 4 years playing for the Varsity Women’s Hockey at the University of Waterloo. She currently coaches in the Toronto Leaside Girls Hockey Association and serves as team doctor for competitive GTHL AAA hockey teams.

Dr. Ceara Higgins, B.Kin., D.C. Chiropractor and Medical Acupuncture
Dr. Ceara Higgins graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). She also holds a certificate in Acupuncture and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Acadia University where she specialized in health and wellness and physical activity for individuals with special needs. Dr. Ceara is also trained as a labour support provider. Dr. Ceara completed a year-long internship through CMCC at the Muki Baum Childrens’ Centre where she was responsible for performing musculoskeletal evaluations, preparing and implementing rehabilitation programs, and providing chiropractic treatment to children with special needs. She has a particular interest in prenatal, postnatal, and pediatric care. Dr. Ceara is trained in a variety of adjustment techniques and is committed to continually updating her knowledge and gaining new skills in chiropractic. She is also a certified pre and post natal pelvic floor trainer through Bellies Inc. She strives to provide excellent care to suit her patient’s individual needs. Dr. Ceara has a wellness focus and evaluates patient’s overall health and well being in order to provide treatment to help her patients work toward their optimal health.
